Sometimes life is just right! It’s Sunday, Netflix has released new episodes of your favourite TV series, you’re not expecting any guest before later this week (which means that the cleaning can wait!). In other words, you have the entire day/afternoon/night all to yourself. Now it’s finally time for some binge watching AND eating! If only there was a healthy treat you could eat with clear conscience right? Well I’ve got your back;)
Let me introduce you to this healthy and easy to make CHOCOLATE BANANA ICE CREAM.
Armed with this ice cream, not only do you get a really delicious treat, you’re also giving your body a lot of nutrients before bedtime.
Bananas are known for their high content of potassium and magnesium which are natural muscle relaxants. They also contain the amino acid L-tryptophan, which gets converted to 5-HTP in the brain. The 5-HTP in turn is converted to serotonin (a relaxing neurotransmitter) and melatonin. Read more about foods that will help your sleep here.
Raw cocoa contains a lot of antioxidants that promotes your general health. Together with the following fact, I wouldn’t judge you if ate made a double portion!

2 tablespoon raw cacao powder*
1 dl. milk of choice (I had some soya left)
