Non Bake Brownie – How to cure chocolate cravings

Uanset hvor stærk en rygrad man har, vil der stadig være dage, hvor ens cravings føles uovervindelige. Synes ellers at min rygrad er ret stærk, har trods alt klaret 10 dage uden mad! (læs om The Master Cleanse her)

Men jeg kan stadig blive grebet af meget stærke, usunde cravings, og for mig er det ALTID chokolade der er nummer et på listen over usunde laster.

Jeg besluttede mig derfor for, at lave en sund opskrift på chokoladekage. Ikke bare en almindelige chokoladekage, men en som kunne måle sig med (og gerne erstatte) en lækker og ?mushy? chokolade brownie!

That’s why I decided. to come up with the best recipe for a healthy chocolate cake. Not just another one of those healthy options, that just ends up giving you an even bigger craving for “the real deal”. This chocolate cake is thick and mushy, and it has the rich dark chocolate flavor!

Google var som altid en ven i nøden. Gennemgik 114 billeder og opskrifter. Kiggede alle skabene i køkkenet igennem for ingredienser. Til sidst kunne jeg gå i gang med kagen, og efter 2 forsøg, var jeg mere end tilfreds!

En sund, non-bake, chokolade brownie, der stiller alle mine cravings med et enkelt stykke. Her er opskriften og instruktioner.

Google was as always, a friends in need. Think I went through more than 114 different recipes. Looked at which ingredients I had in my cupboards, and finally i got to work. It took me 2 try’s,but in the end it was all worth it, and I’m more than satisfied.

Let me introduce to you a healthy, non-bake, chocolate brownie! Here’s the recipe and the instructions, you’re welcome;)

OPSKRIFT:
Kage til ca. 4-6 personer

  • 150 g. Dadler (tørrede uden sten)
  • 50 g. Cashew nødder
  • 1 spsk. Peanut butter*
  • 2 spsk. Rå kakao pulver*
  • 1 knivspids Himalaya salt
  • 50 g. Mørk chokolade (70%)

Alle ingredienser er selvfølgelig økologiske:)

RECIPE:
6-8 pieces

  • 150 g. dates (dried, no stones)
  • 50 g. cashews
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter*
  • 2 tablespoons raw cocoa powder*
  • 1 knife point himalayan salt
  • 50 g. dark chocolate (70%)

*with a top
All ingredients should of course be organic:)

FREMGANGSMÅDE:
Du skal bruge en mini-hakker/stavblender eller en blender som kan klare en klæbrig masse. Kan også klares uden, så bliver den bare lidt grovere.

  1. Dadlerne skal blendes/hakkes. Jeg brugte en mini-hakker til begge forsøg.
    TIP: Har du ikke en minihakker kan dadlerne godt ?moses? hvis de har ligget i vand en times tid inden. Det kan også gøre det nemmere for din hakke/blender. (Gem lidt vand til senere)
  2. Tilføj nødderne. Jeg puttede dem med i hakkeren sammen med dadlerne, efter at de havde ligget i blød også.
    TIP: De kan også hakkes i hånden, hvis du ønsker grovere stykker nødder i din brownie.
  3. Få massen ud i en skål og tilføj de resterende ingredienser.
    TIP: Tilføj lidt vand hvis massen virker for tør (den fra dadlerne hvis du har, da den er lidt sødere).
  4. Mas dejen ned i en form og stil den på frost.
    TIP: Jeg brugte en lille springform, da den ellers kan være svær at få op af en form.
  5. Chokoladen smeltes og hældes over den kølede kage og stilles tilbage på frost i nogle timer (gerne natten over).

SÅ er du færdig . Kagen kan tages ud af fryseren og serveres med det samme. Den er mega lækker og bliver mere ?mushy? i takt med, at den tør op.

Nyd den med god samvittighed og måske sammen med lidt rå bananis:)

PROCEDURE:
You can use a small food processor or a blender. If you don’t have any of those, you kan make it by hand, it will just be more coarse.

  1. The dates must be chopped up to a fine paste. 
    TIP: Leave the dates in some water for 30 minutes, that makes them easier to chop or to “mash” with a spoon. Save some of the water they lay in for later use.
  2. Add in the cashews. I chopped them together with the dates, leave them in some water as well for at least 30 minutes. Makes them easier to chop and easier to digest.
    TIP: Chop by hand if you like bigger pieces of nuts in your cake.
  3. Get the doughy paste into a bowl and add in the rest of the ingredients.
    TIP: Add in a little water if the paste is to dry, it depends on your dates, some are more moist than others.
  4. Get the paste into a round tin (or whatever you’ve got), and put it in the freezer.
    TIP: I used a spring form, it can be difficult to cut out pieces otherwise.
  5. Melt the chocolate and pour it over the frozen cake. It will take som hours for it to freeze completely, but you can eat it sooner if you can’t wait;)

Enjoy it or leave it in the freezer for when you get a craving or have guests. It’s really good with some raw banana ice cream on the side!
